Work-related stress is 'the response people may have when presented with work demands and pressures that are not matched to their knowledge and abilities and which challenge their ability to cope. Stress is not an injury or disease, however the experience of stress can lead to the development of psychological and physical injuries. How could we identify stress at work? Some of the many causes of work-related stress include long hours, heavy workload, job insecurity and conflicts with co-workers or bosses.
